Clr Enver Yasar

Councillor, Regents Park Ward, Cumberland City Council. Sworn in October 2024.

Enver Yasar is a Cumberland City Councillor representing the Regents Park Ward, sworn in to office in October 2024. He is a member of the Australian Labor Party.

Enver brings more than 15 years of community service and engagement to council, across not-for-profit organisations, state and federal government, and major infrastructure projects. He has managed community development and support programs, led community services for a not-for-profit skills centre, coordinated constituent casework and engagement in state and federal electorate offices, and helped secure funding for local community and cultural projects. He continues to contribute to the Gallipoli Turkish Cultural Foundation as its Engagement and Programs Lead.

Enver lives and works in the area he represents, and is committed to making council accessible to residents from every background, right across the ward and the wider Cumberland community.

At home, Enver is a proud husband and father to his daughter Ella and son Arin. Family and community are at the heart of why he puts his hand up to serve.

  • Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD)
  • Diploma of Project Management, TAFE NSW
  • IAP2A Certificate of Engagement - IAP2 Australasia
  • BSc Psychology, University of New South Wales (UNSW)
